 's art scene so special from its music\, visual creators\, performance art

 r evening festivities open at 9th and G with incredible performances on Th
 e Block Party @ MLK Main Stage hosted by comedian Mike Brooks with beats b

 -Level guests can take in a provocative documentary trilogy with panel dis
 cussions throughout the evening starting at 6:30 p.m. The library will be 
 showing&nbsp\;<em>Free the People\,&nbsp\;</em>directed by Kintsugi Kelley
 -Chung &amp\; Andrew Jasiura. Following the murder of George Floyd and Bre
 onna Taylor\, the United States erupted in protest against police brutalit
 y. Thousands of people flooded the Nation&rsquo\;s Capitol to start a move
 ment from the ground up\, taking on the police while taking care of their 
 community. This 3-part docuseries follows several activist organizations s
 uch as Earl&rsquo\;s First Amendment Grill and Good Trouble Co-op\, as the
 y expand their mutual aid network and defend themselves from violent crack
 downs on protestors\, especially after DC police murder two young Black me
 n in the city.</p>\n<p>Last but not least\, you can support local creative
 s as they share their work at our vendor tables.</p>\n<p>The Block Party @
