remarkable find consisted of seven ancient Hebrew manuscripts housed in c
lay vessels and stored inside a cave. These&nbsp\;precious documents led s
cholars to explore other caves in the area &mdash\;an effort which eventua
lly yielded 800+ documents\, now known collectively\, as the Dead Sea Scro
lls. These discoveries from the late 1940s led to nothing less than a revo
lution in our understanding of ancient Judaism\, early Christianity\, and
the relationship between the two religious movements.</p>\n<p>Presenter: P
 r. Gary A. Rendsburg is a professor of biblical studies\, Hebrew language\
, and ancient Judaism at&nbsp\;Rutgers University. He holds the rank of Di
