  the documentary\, The Mission of Herman Stern. This is the true story of 
 how one person rescued 125 German Jewish refugees from persecution and pos
 sible death from within Nazi Germany during the 1930&rsquo\;s and World Wa
 r II. An immigrant from Germany\, Mr. Stern worked from his Valley City\, 
 North Dakota clothing store to rescue refugees. Though humble\, his heroic
 s eventually became known and was awarded the Theodore Roosevelt Roughride
 r Award\, the highest civic award in North Dakota. Q&amp\;A follows.</p>\n
 <p>About Carl Oberholtzer:</p>\n<p>Carl served as a teacher of regular and
  advanced placement history courses at North High School in Fargo for many
  years. He would go on to serve as the History Specialist when Fargo won t
 he coveted American History Grant through the Department of Education. Car
 l served as the historian\, co-writer and co-producer on the Stern documen
 tary. The film is scheduled to be viewed at the Global Peace Film Festival
  in Florida\, 2023.</p>\n<p>Refreshments will be served prior to the progr
