A live video presentation\, Toronto filmma ker Chandler Levack talks about her experience writing a screenplay for he r award-winning and debut feature film\, I Like Movies. Set in Bu rlington\, the film is based on her experience growing up in Aldershot and working at a local video store.
\nBefore there's a movie\, there ar e only words on a page in the form of a screenplay&mdash\;the foundation f or characters and dialogue\, action and plot\, camera angles and editing t hat create the story and the experience of the movie.
\nI Like M ovies was named Best Canadian Picture by the Vancouver Film Critics C ircle in February 2023 and chosen for TIFF Canada&rsquo\;s Top 10.
\nChandler Levack will present live through video on the big screen and wil l be able to see the audience and answer questions from attendees.
