 ons can work side by side to encourage soulful wellbeing in our communitie
 s. The purpose of these conversations is to encourage a broader understand
 ing of the types of organizations that provide care and service to our com
 munities\, an understanding that promotes opportunities for partnership an
 d connection between libraries and faith organizations.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The
  first event in this series is titled &ldquo\;<em><strong>The Purpose of S
 ervice</strong></em>\,&rdquo\;&nbsp\;and will explore the purpose behind c
 ommunity service\, and what motivates the commitments of our faiths and ou
 r institutions&nbsp\;in working towards collective wellbeing. Joining the 
 conversation this week are Rev. Jana Milhon-Martin\, Nirinjan Singh Khalsa
 \, Elder Scott Tanner\, and Roy Twobears Delarosa.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>T
 he Rev. <strong>Jana Milhon-Martin</strong> is an Episcopal priest and CPE
  Diplomate Supervisor. She currently serves as the Director for The Center
  for Lay Chaplaincy in the Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese. <strong>Scott Ta
 nner</strong> currently represents the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da
 y Saints in Public Affairs for the area encompassing the Southwestern part
  of Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley.&nbsp\;<strong>Nirinjan
  Singh Khalsa</strong> has served as a Commissioner on the City of Los Ang
 eles Human Relations Commission for more than fifteen years and is the Exe
 cutive Director of the California Sikh Council.&nbsp\;<strong>Roy Twobears
  Delarosa</strong> is the spiritual advisor for the Native American Vetera
 ns Association. He is Yaqui/Apache and is recognized by the Native America
