 ty Library's featured HUM artists. Dave John\, of KRCL's&nbsp\;<em>Living 
 the Circle of Life</em>\,&nbsp\;will join us as emcee.<br /><br /><a href=

 n-program/lil-feathers/">Li&rsquo\;l Feathers</a> is Granite School Distri
 ct&rsquo\;s Native American &amp\; Alaskan Native after-school program and
  is overseen by Ronda DuVall\, Community &amp\; Cultural Specialist for th
 e Urban Indian Center.<br /><br /><a href="https://www.whisperhawkmusic.co
 m/bio">Whisperhawk</a> (Michael Gross) has been a mainstay in the Utah mus
 ic scene since the early 2000's. Gross got his start with the indie rock b
 and The Brobecks who were making waves in the indie rock scene and were du
 bbed a "buzz band" and "band to watch" by many music publications and blog
 s until his departure in 2007. Since then Gross has been involved with var
 ious bands and music projects and in 2010 signed a music licensing deal wi
 th Bleed 101 in Los Angeles. His music has appeared on various networks in
 cluding NBC\, CBS\, MTV\, and FX (to name a few) and has also appeared in 
 film\, most notably "A Family Man" starring Gerard Butler and Willem Dafoe
 . Whisperhawk is Gross' latest project which combines his knack for melodi
 es with a high-desert folk/rock spirit. Some of Whisperhawk's songs are kn
 own to have Native American themes as Gross himself is a member\, and Trib
 al Councilman for the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation.<br /><br /
 ><br /></p>\n<p>Dave John\, Tewa (Summer Clan) and Din&eacute\; (Black She
 ep Clan)\, is the co-host of "<a href="https://krcl.org/shows/living-the-c
 ircle-of-life/?date=2023-10-15">Living the Circle of Life</a>" on KRCL 90.
 9 &mdash\; Utah's only music program dedicated to the Indigenous people of
  Utah.&nbsp\; Dave John is also an activist and Co-Founder of PANDOS (Peac
 eful Advocates for Native Dialogue &amp\; Organizing Support) which was cr
 eated in support of the Standing Rock relatives.&nbsp\; PANDOS has partner
 ed with Standing Rock legal services\, Defend the Sacred Powwow\, Covid 19
  Mobile Testing Unit\, and O.U.R's (Our Unsheltered Relatives)\, which set
 s up a mobile kitchen to feed the Unsheltered. Dave John is also a Co-Foun
 der of 2 &amp\; 2 Coalition\, which worked with local activist groups and 
 the First United Methodist Church to bring 85 people off the streets when 
 temperatures in Salt Lake City dropped below 25 degrees.&nbsp\; Dave is on
  the P-NUT Board (Public\, Natural\, Urban Trails)\, Native American Event
 s\, and Co-Founder of Utah League of Native American Voters.</p>\n<p></p>\
