PrintPals Exchange is an educ ational printmaking program emphasizing and fostering community building t hrough in-person printmaking workshops and exchanges. A print exchange is a collaborative tradition highlighting a variety of prints made by a commu nity of printmakers to distribute democratically. \;
\n\nAbout the Artist:
\nJose Luis Garcia received his B FA in Visual Art from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida a nd his MFA in Studio Art from Florida International University. He has exh ibited artwork locally in institutions and venues such as the Patricia and Philip Frost Art Museum\, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens\, Coral Gables Museu m\, Bakehouse Art Complex\, and Laundromat Art Space. Garcia has taught va rious educational residencies as a Teaching Artist with Arts for Learning Miami\, led workshops with Miami-Dade Public Libraries' The Vasari Project \, and is a Professor of Art &\; Photography at Miami Dade College Wolf son Campus\, New World School of the Arts\, and Broward College North Camp us.

\nTh e Vasari Project is a library collection dedicated to documenting\, collec ting\, and preserving Miami-Dade County's art history from 1945 to the pre sent. It is a living archive that grows through contributions from artists \, art professionals\, exhibition spaces\, galleries\, institutions\, and private \;donors.
\nThe Vasari Project is a resource for ongoing research\, scholarship\, publications\, artists' projects\, exhibitions\, and events. The archive collects documentation rather than original works of art composed primarily of printed matter: correspondence\, press clipp ings\, photographs\, posters\, books\, exhibition catalogs\, artists' file s\, oral histories\, and other ephemeral \;materials.
\n\nAbout the Division of Special Collections &\; Archives \;< /strong>
\nMiami-Dade Public Library System&rsquo\;s Division of Spe cial Collections &\; Archives is located at the Main Library and holds rare and irreplaceable historical materials for the benefit of the public and scholarly community. They oversee the Helen Muir Florida Collection\, 16mm Film Collection\, Cuban Collection of Rare Books &\; Ephemera\, Ge nealogy Collection\, Vasari Project archive\, and Rare &\; Antiquarian books from as early as the 17th \;century. The Division aims to provid e the public with the contents of these collections at their request\, whi ch include books\, original manuscripts\, over 18\,000 photographs\, print s\, artifacts\, audiovisual resources\, and electronic media. \;
