T he course &ldquo\;Interior Design 101\; Tools\, Techniques\, and Tricks of the Trade&rdquo\; presented by Rebecca Hubler\, ASID\, CAPS\, is geared t o help homeowners and design enthusiasts understand and apply the basics o f Interior Design to create pleasing environments and avoid decorating pit falls. Learn how to set a mood by incorporating lighting\, color\, texture \, storage solutions\, art and accessories to transform an ordinary space into the extraordinary. Rebecca&rsquo\;s presentation will focus on the &l dquo\;how to&rsquo\;s&rdquo\; that Interior Designers use when working wit h clients. Whether a project is large or small\, complex or straightforwar d\, class participants will learn techniques (and some tricks) to seamless ly blend and balance all elements of design into a cohesive whole. \nRebecca Hubler Bio:
\nInterior Designer Re becca Hubler is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). In 1985 she established Designed Interiors\, which has grown into a well-respecte d and award-winning residential/commercial interior design firm. Rebecca h olds both MA and BA degrees in Interior Design from Marymount University a nd Mount Vernon College (now part of George Washington University) respect ively. Her work has been published in The Washington Post\, Architecture\, Spaces Magazine\, Home &\; Design\, and Northern Virginia. She has bee n honored by ASID and the American Institute of Architects. In addition\, Rebecca has been featured on two episodes of HGTV&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Curb Ap peal\,&rdquo\; appeared on Fox TV News\, and has been a guest lecturer abo ard Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise ships. Rebecca enjoys working clo sely with her clients to help them achieve innovative\, effective\, and ae sthetically pleasing designs that are casual\, and comfortable and are a r eflection of their vision. Her Specialties include: Universal Design\, Agi ng in Place\, kitchen and bath remodeling and custom cabinetry.
