 p>Angie Beeman is an Associate Professor in the Marxe School of Public and
  International Affairs and Affiliate Faculty with Black and Latino Studies
  at Baruch College-CUNY. She is also a Director with the&nbsp\;Global List
 ening Centre Academic Board. Her research examines changing expressions of
  racism and how this affects interracial organizing\, progressive politics
 \, and workplace equity.</p>\n<p>Dr. Beeman's research has appeared in the
  Harvard Business Review\, Forbes Magazine\, The Wire\, Sociological Forum
 \, Social Science Quarterly\, the Sociology of Race and Ethnicity\, Violen
 ce Against Women and as chapters in several edited volumes. She has been q
 uoted in Nature\, Forbes\, Huffington Post\, Diverse: Issues in Higher Edu
 cation\, Galveston Daily News\, Wallethub\, and College Magazine.</p>\n<p>
 Her book\, "Liberal White Supremacy: How Progressives Silence Racial and C
 lass Oppression" examines divides among progressives and the role of liber
 al ideology in preventing significant change. In this book\, and in her ea
 rlier works\, she conceptualizes racism-evasion as the outcome of color-bi
 nd ideology and advances practical applications of what she calls "racism-
 centered intersectionality." Dr. Beeman has shared this work with multiple
  audiences and is frequently invited by organizations to speak on liberal 
 ideology\, racism\, social justice\, and allyship. She is currently writin
 g a manifold workbook with training and instructor resources to accompany 
 her book.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Presented with Dr. Kassahun Kebede and Dr. Pui-Ya
 n Lam as part of the EWU Jeffers W. Chertok Professorship Lecture Series.&
