Dr. Magda De La Paz Cabrero was born in Venezuela a nd raised in Puerto Rico. \; At 19 she emigrated to the United States and set off on an educational path that led her to receiving a doctoral de gree in Education from the University of Maryland. \; She recently ret ired from Fairfax County Public Schools. Dr. Cabrera spent much of her lif e developing programs and advocating for traditionally marginalized youth and drew on these experiences to give presentations in Nepal\, Belgium\, M exico and the United States. \; \;
