 two strangers\, each with distinct political views\, come together to shar
 e the stories that define their lives? South Bend is proud to be one of on
 ly five communities chosen this year to participate in StoryCorps' impactf
 ul One Small Step initiative\, a nationwide effort to emphasize the shared
  humanity that unites us all.</p>\n<p>Over the past few months\, individua
 ls from Michiana have engaged in conversations through One Small Step\, st
 eering away from political debates and instead focusing on the personal na
 rratives that connect us as human beings.</p>\n<p>On Sunday\, December 3rd
 \, the community is invited to a special listening event at the Leighton A
 uditorium in the St. Joseph County Public Library Main Branch. Discover th
 e profound experiences of your friends and neighbors as they share their s
 tories through One Small Step. Additionally\, gain insights from experts i
 n mediation\, peace-building\, and dialogue\, who will shed light on the s
 ignificance of these small steps towards understanding.</p>\n<p>Event Part
