The Mia mi-Dade Public Library System&rsquo\;s Vasari Project presents an explorat ion of the Miami women&rsquo\;s art movement. Women&rsquo\;s Voices: A Jou rney through Miami&rsquo\;s Art History is an exhibition that illustrates the activities of several women&rsquo\;s arts organizations from the 1970s to present that significantly contributed to the cultural landscape of Mi ami. About the Vas ari Project:

The Vasari Project is a library collection a t Main Library dedicated to documenting\, collecting\, and preserving Miam i-Dade County's art history from 1945 to the present. It is a living archi ve that grows through contributions from artists\, art professionals\, exh ibition spaces\, galleries\, institutions\, and private \;donors.

The Vasari Project is a resource for ongoing research\, scholarship\, publications\, artists' projects\, exhibitions\, and events. The archive c ollects documentation rather than original works of art composed primarily of printed matter: correspondence\, press clippings\, photographs\, poste rs\, books\, exhibition catalogs\, artists' files\, oral histories\, and o ther ephemeral \;materials.

Miami-Da de Public Library System&rsquo\;s Division of Special Collections &\; A rchives is located at the Main Library and holds rare and irreplaceable hi storical materials for the benefit of the public and scholarly community. They oversee the Helen Muir Florida Collection\, 16mm Film Collection\, Cu ban Collection of Rare Books &\; Ephemera\, Genealogy Collection\, Vasa ri Project archive\, and Rare &\; Antiquarian books from as early as th e 17th \;century.
