 ne Schlingman will present on <em>Eclipses and Why They Enthrall Us</em>. 
 Attendees will receive a pair of eclipse glasses\, while supplies last\, t
 hanks to a grant from the Space Science Institute STAR Net program. Outdoo
 r stargazing with telescopes to follow the presentation\, depending on the
  weather.</p>\n<p>About the Presenter:</p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Wayne Schlingma
 n</strong> is the Director of the Anne Slettebak Planetarium and Director 
 of Undergraduate Studies for The Ohio State University Department of Astro
 nomy. Dr. Schlingman joined OSU&rsquo\;s Department of Astronomy in 2014 a
 s the Director of the Arne Slettebak Planetarium. He received his Ph.D. fr
 om the University of Arizona where he worked with Ed Prather and the Cente
 r for Astronomy Education (CAE) doing research on the teaching and learnin
 g of general education introductory astronomy and Yancy Shirley studying s
 tar formation via dense gas tracers in the Milky Way galaxy. Dr Schlingman
  most recently won a 2023 Community Engaged Practitioner Award from the Pr
