Join us for two engaging programs featurin g Michael Rotondi &\; Ravi GuneWardena\, two artists in Brand Library & amp\; Art Center&rsquo\;s current exhibition\, &lsquo\;It&rsquo\;s About T ime&rsquo\;. An Art Talk with Michael Rotondi will be preceded by an Ikeba na Demonstration with Ravi GuneWardena. Attendees will have the chance to speak with the artists as well as the exhibition curators\, April Greiman &\; Stacie B. London\, in between presentations. \; \;
\n6pm: Ikebana Demonstration with Ravi GuneWardena - GuneWardena is an archi tect and partner at Escher GuneWardena and has been a practitioner of Ikeb ana (the Japanese art of flower arranging) since 2005. From 2019-22\, he w as Director of the Sogetsu Ikebana\, Los Angeles and expanded the visibili ty of Ikebana as a contemporary art form by facilitating collaborations wi th various local artists and organizations. GuneWardena&rsquo\;s Borro wed Landscape\, on view in the gallery\, was inspired by the history of the gardens surrounding Brand Library &\; Art Center. \;
\n7pm: Art Talk with Michael Rotondi - Rotondi has practiced and taught arc
hitecture locally and internationally for over forty years\, always operat
ing from his base in Los Angeles. He was a founding Partner of Morphosis (
1975-1991)\, founding Principal of RoTo Architects (1991-present)\, and a
co-founder of SCI-Arc\, where he co-created and directed the Graduate Prog
ram (1978-1987)\, was the second Institute Director from 1987-1997\, and c
urrently teaches as Distinguished Faculty. On view in the gallery are sele
cted pages from Rotondi&rsquo\;s journal and sketchbooks. According to Rot
ondi\, &ldquo\;Drawing allows me to live and speculate in various timescal
es and experience life giving form to architecture.&rdquo\; \;

ur of &lsquo\;It&rsquo\;s About Time&rsquo\; with artist and co-curator St
acie B. London at 5pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the
curatorial process as well as the 17 artists on view and their art practic
