 >As a landscape painter hedged between Utah's Uinta Mountains and the Wasa
 tch Back\, Jerry Clifford paints the mood and spirit of the Kamas Valley. 
 "My paintings are observations of the natural beast\, the world outside my
  studio.&rdquo\;</p>\n<p><strong>ARTIST BIO:</strong></p>\n<p>Jerry was ra
 ised in the land of Ernest Hemingway\; and found the groundwork for his in
 fatuation with the natural world while wandering the deep forests and hidd
 en lakes of Northwest Michigan. Jerry completed a B.A. in 1977 from Wester
 n Colorado University and pursued a Master of Fine Arts from the Universit
 y Michigan and the University of Denver. During the early eighties\, he tr
 aveled to Europe to study the paintings of the masters.<br /><br />Parenti
 ng and painting became Jerry's raison d'&ecirc\;tre after returning to the
  timberlands of Michigan. Jerry\, and wife Kathy\, moved to the high deser
 t of Western Colorado in fall of 2005. He engaged with the artistic commun
 ity of Grand Junction\, Colorado as a member of the Art Center of Western 
 Colorado. Retiring in 2019\, Jerry and Kathy moved to Kamas\, Utah to be w
 ith family. He set up a studio and is currently investigating the new topo
 graphy of the Kamas valley. Jerry's painting is entering a new phase of ar
 ticulation while concentrating on his new Acrylic Aquarelle paintings.</p>
