\nThe diary of A nne Frank was written when she was hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam. How ever her diary does not show the six months between her capture in Novembe r of 1944 and her death six months later in Bergen-Belsen. This presentati on will examine other sources written during the Holocaust by Jewish men a nd women who\, like Anne\, did not survive\, but show what it was like to live in the transit camps\, cattle cars and concentration camps. \;&nb sp\;
\nHolocaust Remembrance Day \;is an \;international mem orial day on January 27th that commemorates \;the victims \;of the \;Holocaust\, which resulted in the \;genocide \;of one third of the \;Jewish people\, along with countless members of other minori ties by \;Nazi Germany \;between 1933 and 1945. \; January 27t h was chosen to commemorate the date when the \;Auschwitz concentratio n camp \;was liberated \;by the \;Red Army \;in 1945.
