 nne Frank was written when she was hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam. How
 ever her diary does not show the six months between her capture in Novembe
 r of 1944 and her death six months later in Bergen-Belsen. This presentati
 on will examine other sources written during the Holocaust by Jewish men a
 nd women who\, like Anne\, did not survive\, but show what it was like to 
 live in the transit camps\, cattle cars and concentration camps.&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;</p>\n<p>Holocaust Remembrance Day&nbsp\;is an&nbsp\;international mem
 orial day on January 27th that commemorates&nbsp\;the victims&nbsp\;of the
 &nbsp\;Holocaust\, which resulted in the&nbsp\;genocide&nbsp\;of one third
  of the&nbsp\;Jewish people\, along with countless members of other minori
 ties by&nbsp\;Nazi Germany&nbsp\;between 1933 and 1945.&nbsp\; January 27t
 h was chosen to commemorate the date when the&nbsp\;Auschwitz concentratio
 n camp&nbsp\;was liberated&nbsp\;by the&nbsp\;Red Army&nbsp\;in 1945.</p>\
