In this interactive arts -based workshop participants will have an opportunity to create their own 'tree of life'. \; \;Through art and writing\, you will explore th emes of identity\, personal and cultural history\, skills and strengths\, gifts\, and hopes for the future.
The tree of life concept has been d eveloped by practitioners of Narrative Therapy and is used around the worl d to support individuals and communities to step into a 'riverbank' perspe ctive to see themselves and their experiences differently.

Ali Bur ke is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 14 years ex perience\, she currently has a private practice in Cambridge\, Ontario. He r work is grounded in the theories of Narrative Therapy\, which sees peopl e as having many skills\, competencies\, beliefs\, values\, commitments an d abilities that will assist them to change their relationship with proble ms in their lives. She integrates mindfulness\, cognitive behavioural ther apy\, and emotion-focused therapy into her work.
