\nBrandy Schillace is the \;author of several works of nonfict ion\, including \;Mr. Humble and Dr. Butcher and Death&rs quo\;s Summer Coat: What Death and Dying Teach Us About Life and Living. \;She is the creator of the Peculiar Bookclub\, bringing best-sell ing authors together with their readers. A former professor of English and gothic literature\, she has an abiding love of mystery. \;She writes about gender politics and history\, medical mystery\, and neurodiversity f or outlets such as \;Scientific American\, Wired\, < em>CrimeReads\, and Medium. \; Brandy is also autistic\, though has not (to her knowledge) been a suspect in a murder investigatio n.
