 ou have dreams of visiting parts of the world still untouched by humans? L
 ocal artist Tom Hanicak lived that dream for ten days when he ventured dee
 p into the Tongass National Forest of Alaska as an artist in residence wit
 h the National Forest Service Rangers. There\, Tom was immersed in the bea
 uty of the Kootznoowoo Wilderness\, whose unblemished earth\, sea\, and sk
 ies are home to grizzly bears\, bald eagles\, marine wildlife\, and other 
 assorted creatures that still roam free\, unencumbered by concrete\, steel
 \, and industrial fumes. Tom will share his exciting experience&mdash\;and
  the art it inspired&mdash\;at this special presentation.</p>\n<p>This pro
 gram is part of the 2024 <a href="https://case.edu/artsci/chf/">Cleveland
