 p>Laura\, a young mother and wife of a New York Public Library superintend
 ent\, reevaluates her priorities after joining a woman's suffrage group in
  1913. Tensions build when valuable first editions books start disappearin
 g and her husband is the prime suspect. Years later\, in 1993\, Laura&rsqu
 o\;s granddaughter Sadie gets a plum posting as curator of&nbsp\;the&nbsp\
 ;library&rsquo\;s highly esteemed Berg Collection of&nbsp\; rare books. Th
 en famous material go missing. Sadie efforts to save her career and the re
 putation of the Berg collection expose tragic family secrets. A richly det
