 ahn</strong></p>\n<p>Professor Kerstin Dautenhahn&nbsp\;is the Canada 150 
 Research Chair in Intelligent Robotics and has pioneered research in socia
 l robotics\, human-robot interaction\, and assistive robotics.&nbsp\;</p>\
 n<p>In the RoboHub\, Professor Dautenhahn will investigate the development
  of companion robots. Companion robots are intelligent and autonomous robo
 ts that are able to assist people with needs such as performing useful tas
 ks\, but are doing so in a manner that is socially acceptable and trustwor
 thy. The goal is to develop social and intelligent companion robots that c
 an support people in daily living activities or assist in therapeutic or e
