The 2022 Uprising or Zan\, Zendegi\, Azadi (Woman\, Life\, Freedom) Movement \;has resulted in death\, injuries\ , arrests\, and torture of thousands of Iranians who chose to protest the country's Islamic Penal Code for restricting human rights. \;

The majority of the artwork you'll see is labeled as &ldquo\;anonymous&rdq uo\; to keep the artists safe from persecution. Many of the artists featur ed still live and produce their work from within Iran\, where their creati ve expression can lead to jail time and worse. The goal of the exhibit is to give voice to the artists who could not be here.
