 e 2023-2024 school year for students in Grades 4-6 who love to read and ha
 ve fun talking about books and characters! Tonight we'll be discussing Joh
 nnie Christmas's &ldquo\;Swim Team\,&rdquo\; which is currently a nominee 
 for the <a href="https://www.maslmd.org/current-nominees#grades46">Marylan
 d Association of School Librarians&rsquo\; &ldquo\;Black-Eyed Susan&rdquo\
 ; award for children&rsquo\;s graphic novels</a>. Our activities will also
  involve learning about the little-known history of swimming pools and Afr
 ican American swimmers.</p>\n<p>You can borrow a copy (with a specially pr
 epared reading guide just for our group) from the Connie Morella Library\;
  just ask at the Check Out or Information Desks for the February book for 
 No Shelf Control.</p>\n<p>You can also access the book as an eBook on our 
 free app\, Libby\, or on the <a href="https://mcplmd.overdrive.com/media/6
