Alicia Butler
is a native of Seattle\, WA and currently serves as the Health and Wellnes
s Policy Adviser for the National Action Network (NAN)\, where she is resp
onsible for overseeing all of their national health and wellness initiativ
es centering black health equity. Over the years\, she has worked diligent
ly on NAN&rsquo\;s Covid-19 response efforts\, engaged in conversations on
the expansion of the Affordable Care Act\, organized discussions and even
ts related to mental health and reproductive justice/maternal health and w
orks with other civil rights organizations and corporate partners to addre
ss pressing health inequities in the African American community. She also
works closely with legislators on Capitol Hill and the White House\, actin
g as a liaison\, where she tracks important health legislation and recomme
ndations for NAN to take the charge on.&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;
&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;&emsp\;
Prior to this\, she obtained a degree in Political Science from Southern University and A&\;M College in 2018 and went on to work on Capitol Hill for three years\, handling po licy and constituent correspondence for the citizens of Washington state. In her free time\, she enjoys reading\, hanging with loved ones\, taking w alks and is in the process of becoming a certified trauma informed doula.< /p>\n

Internationally recognized young civ il rights activist and movement strategist Tylik McMillan \, \; is a native of Lawrenceville Virginia\, by way of Harrisburg Pen nsylvania and a proud HBCU graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Tec hnical State University. \;
\nAt a young age\, Tylik got his fou ndation at the National Action Network \; (NAN). Under the leadership and mentorship of Rev. Al Sharpton\, Tylik served as a Washington D.C. Bur eau Senior Policy Advisor and National Director of Youth and College of NA N which is one of the nation's leading civil rights organizations working in the spirit and tradition of Dr. King\, to promote the modern civil righ ts agenda.
\nIn his capacity\, he worked to educate lawmakers and st akeholders from the White House to corporate c-suites on the challenges an d opportunities facing communities\, by advocating for more resources and policies that help invest and advance economic and social equality. His go vernment affairs portfolio includes issues from tech\, policing/criminal j ustice\, federal sentencing reform\, ending racial profiling\, equal emplo yment protection\, immigration\, access to affordable/quality education\, voting rights protection\, housing\, and other various issues that impact social and economic status\, mobility and empowerment of urban and underse rved communities.
\nTylik helped organize the 2020 Commitment March on Washington and 2021 March On for Voting Rights which drew over hundreds of thousands to Washington DC which called for racial justice\, police re form\, voting rights protections\, census participation and more.
