 est generals: Joffre\, Foch\, Haig\, Pershing\, Ludendorff\, Rommel\, Gude

  with tragedy and sacrifice: Somme\, Passchendaele\, Dunkerque\, Omaha Bea

 ler caught the battlefield bug when\, as a child\, he visited Gettysburg\,
  Pennsylvania. Retirement brought him the opportunity to visit and study t
 he battlefields of Europe.</p>\n<p>He has written six visitor guides to th
 e battlefields of Northern Europe under the Fields of War imprint which ha
 ve garnered thirteen national book awards including being honored by the M
 ilitary Writers Society of America. Mr. Mueller has also written comprehen
 sive articles for WW II History Magazine and WW II Quarterly.</p>\n<p>Mr. 
 Mueller's one-hour-long programs combine period and contemporary photograp
 hs with clearly drawn maps to describe the places and the people who dicta
 ted the battle's outcome. He has delivered over 300 presentations across t
 he metropolitan area to wide acclaim.</p>\n<p>Robert Mueller holds advance
 d degrees in physics from the University of Illinois and in business admin
 istration from Lake Forest College. He performed his military service in t
 he US Army Signal Corps during the Vietnam era. Mr. Mueller is a member of
  the Chicago Writers Association and the Military Writers Society of Ameri
