 starts as a fun and scary retro-slasher but then cleverly twists and blood
 ies its way into being a very new kind of beast. Rejoice horror fans new a
 nd old\, and be terrified of Adam&rsquo\;s everyday clowns.&rdquo\; &mdash
 \; Paul Tremblay\, author of <em>A Head Full of Ghosts</em></p>\n<p>Origin
 ally from New York\, Cesare attended Boston University where he studied En
 glish and film. Cesare&rsquo\;s love for both mediums inform his work: his
  2012 novella <em>Tribesmen</em> follows a doomed Italian film crew in the
  1970s who travel to a remote island <em>where</em> they plan to make a ch
 eap horror flick that quickly becomes all too real\; his upcoming <em>Clow
 n in the Cornfield 3: The Church of Frendo</em>\, despite its tongue-in-ch
 eek title\, takes a&nbsp\; more literary approach to the notion of what a 
 slasher series can do\, exploring the dangers of how we view others throug
 h forms of mass communication. In the ten years in between\, Cesare has pu
 blished nine books\, worked in comic books for well-loved franchises such 
 as <em>The Dark Crysta</em>l and <em>Adventure Time</em>\, and won the Bra
 m Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Young Adult Novel for his bre
 akout release\, <em>Clown in a Cornfield</em>. An adaptation of <em>Clown 
 in a Cornfield </em>is in the works\, and will be produced by Temple Hill 
 Entertainment\, the same company that released <em>Smile</em> (2022) and t
 he HBO series adaptation of Stephen King&rsquo\;s <em>The Outsider</em>.</
