X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>pinyonpine is the music of&nbsp\;<strong>T
 j Nelson</strong>\, a filmmaker from Salt Lake City\, UT exploring analog\
, modular and music esoterica. The piece performed is an ambient explorati
on of restraint and texture. Sources of sound include loops captured from
various analog synthesizers\, field recordings\, and live patching.</p>\n<
 p><br /><strong>Kellie St. Pierre&rsquo\;s</strong>&nbsp\;film&nbsp\;<em>S
pectra</em>&nbsp\;speaks to the range of expression we humans hold all at
once. It's a celebration of fluidity\, authenticity\, and the honoring of
multiplicity. The film features a stunning collaboration of local artists-
 -choreography by&nbsp\;<strong>Molly Heller</strong>\, and performance by&
 nbsp\;<strong>Elle Taylor</strong>.</p>\n<p>Kellie St. Pierre (she/her) is
  a multidisciplinary artist\, invested as a choreographer\, performer\, fi
lmmaker\, and educator\, based in Salt Lake City\, UT. Through her wide in
terest in the collaboration of dance and technology\, Kellie is constantly
researching the balance of vibrant energy and meditation of the human sto
ry\, the impact of our relationships to our environments\, and the visibil
ity of people in both front and behind the camera.</p>\n<p><br /><strong>N
ichele Woods</strong>&nbsp\;shares an early work-in-progress and the first
public appearance of The Woods Dance Project. Mark your calendar for the
quintet&rsquo\;s premiere this June at The Rose Wagner Performing Arts Cen
ter\, presented by RDT&rsquo\;s Link Series. Woods pushes her Postmodern a
nd Release-style aesthetics into the surreal as she muses upon the space b
etween our private and public lives. A few questions coming up in rehearsa
l: What does it mean to be authentic? Am I ever inauthentic when I am alon
e? What is the space between the private and the public? The journey betwe
en?&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />Five local dance artists join Woods for the j
 ourney:&nbsp\;<strong>Natalie Border\,&nbsp\;Jonathan Kim\,&nbsp\;Tara McA
 rthur\,&nbsp\;Morgan Phillips\,</strong> and&nbsp\;<strong>Melissa Younker
</strong>.</p>\n<p>Nichele has been publicly presenting her private world
of choreography since 2013. Her creative process aims to create a space an
d framework in which the dancers can have an honest experience that is inf
ormed by their lived and living histories. Founded in 2024\, The Woods Dan
ce Project is a project-based dance entity committed to supporting equity
and career sustainability for contemporary dance artists in Salt Lake City
.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>12 Minutes Max is dedicated to the memory of our dear f
riend and colleague Paul Reynolds: artist\, librarian\, and patron of the
arts. 12 Minutes Max is a curated monthly performance series featuring exp
erimental short works by local artists in many different disciplines\, inc
luding dance\, music\, film\, and more. Each piece is followed by a Q&amp\
;A with the artist. 12MM is modeled after the program originated by On the
Boards in Seattle.</p>\n<p>This event takes place on the third Sunday of
 each month.</p>\nhttps://slcpl.libnet.info/event/9918182
