Halee Jean \;will per form music from their project \;RIFF TKR. \; Hal is a multifaceted presence in the Salt Lake City scene as an artist\, perf ormer\, live sound tech\, and composer. Hal&rsquo\;s roots run deep into t he punk and DIY communities of salt lake city\, and you will find them per forming and organizing music and art shows on the regular. \; Hal is i n countless musical groups with hugely varying backgrounds and styles\, su ch as Jazz Jaguars (a jazz lead sheet reading group)\, GRGL (doomy sludge metal)\, and Sculpture Club (a goth new-wave group)\, while also composing music for their non-traditional ensemble\, Hoofless. \; RIFF TKR (pro nounced riff ticker) is a project for Hal&rsquo\;s overflow compositions f rom other musical projects.

undation\, \;Jon Tinsley \;will present his film&
nbsp\;The Paternal Prism. \; \;The Paternal Prism \;is a look
into a personal story of Matt Beringer \;as he reflects on his relatio
nship with his late father\, Bruce\, and how their connection through a mu
lti-generational hobby provides togetherness between the two. \; \
;Matt is a true example of authenticity\, having created a prolific\, infl
uential career in action sports. He lives with his husband and three dogs
in Roy\, Utah. \;Jon Tinsley is a filmmaker based out of Salt Lake Cit
y\, UT. He specializes in documentary and sports films\, as well as a focu
s in action sports photography.
The Paternal Prism&
nbsp\;will also be screening at Davey Fest. \; \;Davey Fest is a s
hort film festival in Salt Lake City\, produced by \;The Davey
Foundation\, a foundation created in memory of actor\, director\
, producer\, musician\, and community activist David Fetzer\, who passed a
way in 2012\, at age 30\, from an accidental prescription painkiller overd
ose. For over a decade\, The Davey Foundation has supported emerging filmm
akers with grant funding\, equipment lending\, screening opportunities\, a
nd mentorship with established filmmakers. Davey Fest 2024 takes place Jun
e 28-30 at Fisher Brewing with a couple dozen short films from across the

Elle Mala
n Taylor \;will perform their work \;(what if?) there
was a Door\, \;a solo dance piece that emerged from improvisatio
nal research of light\, home\, identity\, and slowing time. The solo was f
irst performed in March 2023\, a performance which represented an importan
t moment of queer self-discovery and artistic growth for Elle. In May 2024
\, they completed their Modern Dance BFA and Sustainable Food Systems BS a
t the University of Utah. While at the University of Utah\, Elle presented
8 original works and explored the possibilities of props\, scenery\, live
music\, spoken word\, and improvisation in dance performance. They are cu
rrently working as an organic farmer and freelance dancer &\; choreogra
pher. Elle is eager to connect to people and the Earth through food\, play
\, movement\, and art.
12 Minutes Max is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and colleague Paul Reynolds: artist\, librarian \, and patron of the arts. 12 Minutes Max is a curated monthly performance series featuring experimental short works by local artists in many differ ent disciplines\, including dance\, music\, film\, and more. Each piece is followed by a Q&\;A with the artist. 12MM is modeled after the program originated by On the Boards in Seattle.
