 x 0px\;" />Michelle D. Hord is an inspirational speaker\, author\, consult
 ant\, and media executive. As the President of Hope Warrior\, Inc.\, a str
 ategic consulting agency\, and former Vice President of Creative Content a
 nd Talent Management for NBCUniversal\, Michelle has produced content for 
 an esteemed list of television shows and developed tactical solutions for 
 business and talent management needs.</p>\n<p>Through Hope Warrior\, Inc.\
 , Michelle offers her expertise in on-air talent recruitment and developme
 nt\, employer brand marketing\, DEI\, workforce leadership training\, and 
 broadcast writing and producing.</p>\n<p>In 2022\, Michelle released her A
 mazon best-seller\, The Other Side of Yet. The book focuses on her story o
 f resilience in the face of unimaginable loss\, and was written in hopes t
 hat others can also find courage and strength on the other side of their o

  Moderator</strong></span></h4>\n<p><img src="https://static.libnet.info/f

 lt="" style="float: left\; margin: 0px 20px 20px 0px\;" />Sonya Ross is fo
 under &amp\; editor in chief of Black Women Unmuted\, a digital media outl
 et devoted to covering the political engagement of Black women in the Unit
 ed States. She founded Black Women Unmuted in 2019 after a 33-year career 
 at The Associated Press. She is The AP&rsquo\;s first Black woman White Ho
 use reporter and\, in 1999\, became the first Black woman elected to the b
 oard of the White House Correspondents Association. Sonya was the pool rep
 orter aboard Air Force One with President George W. Bush during the terror
 ist attacks of Sept. 11\, 2001\, also an historic first. In 2010\, she est
 ablished specialty race &amp\; ethnicity coverage at AP that transformed t
 he industry&rsquo\;s approach to gathering news for and about people of co
 lor.</p>\n<p>In 2018\, Sonya was inducted into the Society of Professional
  Journalists Hall of Fame\, DC Pro Chapter. She is the 2023 recipient of t
 he Washington Association of Black Journalists&rsquo\; Legacy Award for he
 r distinguished leadership in increasing access and opportunities for jour
 nalists of color. She was founding chair of the political reporting task f
 orce for the National Association of Black Journalists\, is currently vice
 -chair of the Journalism &amp\; Women&rsquo\;s Symposium\, and serves as s
 ecretary of the SPJ Foundation Board. Sonya also serves on the boards of t
 he Washington Press Club Foundation and the National Newspaper Publishers 
 Association Fund. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority\, Inc.</p>
