In commemoration of the 215th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birthday\, join historian Greg Caggiano for a look at his life and political career\, and how he became one of the most beloved (and controversial) presidents in American history. The program will also delve into the life and career of his assassin\, John Wilkes Booth\, and cover the chain of events and politics that led to Lincoln's untimely demi se at Ford's Theater. \;
\nGreg Caggiano is a published author\, historian\, lecturer\, and consultant. He holds a degree in history from New Jersey City University and NJ State teaching certifications in history and elementary education. Since 2014\, Greg has worked as an instructor f or Brookdale Community College in their Lifelong Learning department. In h is spare time\, he has served on the Board of Directors of two museums: th e Proprietary House in Perth Amboy\, and most recently the Atlantic Highla nds Historical Society\, housed at the Strauss Mansion Museum.
