 .</p>\n<p>Taylor's latest book for middle grade readers\, <em>The Grover S
 chool Pledge\,</em> tells the story of Arlaina who bolstered by her father
 's childhood experience in the Million Man March\, teams up with her no-no
 nsense classmate Nadia and other Grover School students to right a systemi
 c wrong. Selected as the top book in children&rsquo\;s literature by Kobo 
 Books\, it's a true-to-life story about the pains and triumphs of growing 
 up.</p>\n<p>A Different Drummer Books will be onsite selling the <em>The G
 rover School Pledge</em> for signing after the talk.</p>\n<p>Presented in

 5>\n<p><strong>Wanda Taylor</strong> has enjoyed a varied career as a fict
 ion and non-fiction author\, journalist\, screenwriter\, college instructo
 r\, and former television producer. Her features have appeared in The Glob
 e and Mail\, Quill and Quire\, Black2Business Magazine\, and Atlantic Book
 s Today\, among others\, and her essays and poems are anthologized in Cana
 dian\, US\, and UK publications. She's a faculty member/mentor and instruc
 tor for the MFA Writing and Publishing program at the University of King's
  College. Wanda has won numerous awards for her cross-industry work\, incl
 uding the Women of Excellence Award for Arts and Culture.</p>\n<p><strong>
 Sandra Tyler Henein</strong> is an executive in the music and entertainmen
 t industry\, and a former director of marketing for the JUNO Awards. Recen
 tly the recipient of the 2023 Rogers KW Woman of the Year Lifetime Achieve
 ment award\, she is the owner/chief event strategist for Black Exposed Ent
 ertainment\, a marketing\, media\, and events company. She also created Bl
 ack Exposed Radio on 98.5 CKWR and globally\, Canada's only Black show on 
 prime time FM radio with all Black Canadian music. Among her many projects
 \, Sandra has managed world concerts\, won CRTC Radio bids nationally\, an
